Meghan and Beyonce look roar-some at glitzy premiere
MEGHAN and showbiz royalty Beyonce were the pride of last night’s premiere of The Lion King. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex arrived holding hands to a chorus of cheers from throngs of people gathered in Leicester Square, Central London.
And Meghan, 37, looking stunning in a chic £3,500 black knee-length flared dress by Jason Wu, beamed as she hugged Beyonce – the voice of Simba’s love interest Nala in the updated Disney classic.
The former Suits actress chatted and waved to the crowds and at one point was in fits of giggles, while Harry, 34, looked dapper in a suit and bow tie.
The pair, who welcomed son Archie in May, also met Donald Glover, who stars as the voice of king-in-waiting Simba, and Sir Elton John, who helped create the original soundtrack.
Other celebs at the glitzy event included singer Pharrell Williams, presenters Rochelle and Marvin Humes, Louise Redknapp and Girls Aloud singer Kimberley Walsh, who came along with her young family.
SUPPORT
The royals attended the glittering event in aid of conservation work through The Royal Foundation.
Buckingham Palace said: “The Duke of Sussex has taken a deep personal interest in conservation projects that work to protect Africa’s natural heritage and support both wildlife and local communities.”
The couple plan to take baby Archie to South Africa in the autumn.
Harry will also be carrying out solo visits to Angola, Malawi and Botswana.
