QUIQUE: I COULD BE SACKED SO QUICKLY

- Norwich Watford BY MIKE WALTERS

WATFORD boss Quique Sanchez Flores admits he is facing the sack – after two months.

Asked if he feared for his job, Flores (above) said: “It is not a ridiculous question – this this is football and we know how it works.

“We need to accept the situation – football is all about results. This is football and we know how it works.

“I have an amazing family, I have other things to do in my life, but I prefer to be here at Watford, taking responsibility.”

If he does not win at least one of Watford’s next three matches – at Norwich tonight, at home to Burnley and away to fellow strugglers Southampton – time could be up for Flores.

The suave Spaniard has collected just four points and four goals from his seven Premier League games, which also featured the 8-0 humiliation at Manchester City in September.

In the opposing dugout tonight, Daniel Farke has told his confidencesapped Canaries it’s time to start playing with a smile again.

Norwich will swap places with Watford at the foot of the Premier League if they lose this clash.

Farke said: “It’s important that we don’t lose the smile on our faces when we are playing football.

“Because we have been conceding too many goals the players are making sure they are defending and working back.

“But they concentrate so much on not losing the ball that we are not so fluent.

“Other teams have more experience, physicality and quality because they have spent more than us.”
