FURY V AJ GET IT ON

Awesome Tyson stuns the world and sets his sights on £200M British superfight with rival Joshua

- FROM DAVID ANDERSON in Las Vegas

TYSON FURY against Anthony Joshua would be the biggest single sporting event in Britain since England won the World Cup in 1966.

Fury’s co-promoter Frank Warren would love to see the two world heavyweight champions clash this summer at Wembley for the undisputed title rather than a third fight between Fury and Deontay Wilder.

Fury demolished Wilder to win the WBC belt, while Joshua holds the WBA Super, IBF and WBO crowns and Warren says a £200million fight between them would be monumental. A Joshua-fury showdown could

also take place in Vegas or in Saudi Arabia, but Warren (below) said: “I want to see Tyson fight Joshua next. That would be the biggest single sporting event to take place in the UK since England winning the World Cup.

“You wouldn’t be able to get a ticket for it. The country would stop to watch it. In a dream world, it’s Tyson Fury versus Anthony Joshua in London.

“But I don’t know where the fight would take place, wherever the most money is.”

Fury claims his career would be complete if he beat him to unify all four titles.

“I’ve got another old fella across the pond who might want a tickle,” he said. “Then that’s it. It’s complete, done.” Wilder has the option of triggering a rematch before the end of June and Warren sees little point in a third fight after Fury beat him so comprehensively. He said. “I know what I would advise him to do. I wouldn’t take it because it’s going to be the same outcome.” Joshua’s promoter Eddie Hearn claims they may offer mandatory challenger Kubrat Pulev some step-aside money to allow his man to face Fury. “Everyone wants to see AJ v Fury rather than a third fight between Fury and Wilder.”
