PSNI appeal after park sex attack

TWO teenage girls were reportedly sexually assaulted at the weekend by a pair of men, police said yesterday.

The PSNI issued an appeal following the incident at Ormeau Park in South Belfast between 8.30pm and 10.30pm on Saturday.

One of the men was described as having short ginger hair and a beard and was approximat­ely 6ft with a slim build.

He is thought to be in his early 20s and was wearing a dark padded jacket.

The other man is described as having short hair, of thin build and was also 6ft and believed to be in his early 20s.

The males were reported to have had a dog with them, which is believed to have been possibly a bulldog.

Detective Inspector Leah Crothers said: “We are working to establish the circumstan­ces of what occurred and are appealing for anyone who has any informatio­n that could assist to contact us.

“Anyone who can assist our investigat­ion is asked to call detectives on 101, quoting reference number 2232 of 13/06/20.”
