No Wriggle room here
A SHORT-TERM contract extension at Saracens will give Richard Wrigglesworth the chance of a grand European curtain call to end his career.
The former England scrum-half, 37, who has a record 286 Premiership appearances, has pushed aside retirement when his current deal expires on June 30.
He is understood to be staying at Allianz Park until the end of October to help the club’s push to retain the Champions Cup.
The holders are due to face Leinster in the quarterfinal on the weekend of September 19 with the semifinal the following week and the final – should they reach it for a fourth time in five seasons – rescheduled for October 17.
