HIDDEN HEROES HUNT ON
WE are looking for the UK’S unsung office heroes. Those talented workers whose efforts behind the scenes help make their bosses shine.
If you are a brilliant personal assistant, executive assistant or office manager – or you are a grateful boss who wants to get your assistant or secretary the recognition they deserve – we want to hear from you.
We’ve teamed up with Secsinthecity, the UK’S only jobsite for PAS, to launch the hunt for our PA of the Year.
It’s the ninth of these prestigious annual awards that have become THE event to celebrate the vital role that PAS and Executive Assistants provide to the firms and individuals they work for.
We are talking about those who work tirelessly in the background to ensure firms run like clockwork.
We are looking for nominations for three categories this year: acknowledge the significant contributions that PAS and EAS make to the organisations they work for. “This year especially, we know many PAS, EAS and Office Managers have shown extraordinary commitment during this challenging time. If you work with a PA or Office Manager who deserves to be celebrated, we encourage you to nominate them.”
Scooping one of these prized awards – run in partnership with specialist PA recruitment consultancy firm Tay Associates – is the ultimate recognition and a way to show your appreciation for all of the hard graft, effort and achievements of your office support professional.
The 2019 PA of the Year winner Sarah Hodson – of Michelinstarred London restaurant businessthesocialcompany – described her win as “the ultimate career accolade.”
She said: “I still can’t quite believe that I won this award last year. At the ceremony I met so many incredible PA/EAS, all of whom were equally deserving.
“It felt rather odd receiving congratulations from across the globe when so often the role of PA does not usually gain much attention.”
And the present crisis has just added to their importance.
It may be that a personal assistant or office manager working in the NHS, a care home, a school, or someone grafting from home, has really gone above and beyond to help keep things running smoothly.
Now is your chance to show these individuals how much you appreciate them and to let them know their dedication and professionalism hasn’t gone unnoticed.
Shortlisted finalists and their bosses will be invited to a glamorous awards ceremony held at London restaurant The Ivy on November 5.
Joanne Wilson, winner of last year’s Legal PA of the Year Award, described the ceremony as “the classiest event I have ever attended and a night I will never forget.”
So, what are you waiting for? If you know a PA, EA or Office Manager worthy of and recognition – or you think it’s about time YOU got the recognition you deserve – head to Secsinthecity. co.uk to make your nomination today.
The deadline for applications is Friday September 11, 2020.
