She had been due to return to the States to be a judge on a series of America’s Got Talent Champions later this year.

While there, she was planning to explore other opportunities too.

She says: “I had got a visa for three years. The plan was to go back out, take some meetings and be out there for a while. That is a setback but I am constantly in conversations with different things.

“I pray we can hop on a plane to LA soon and pick up from where I left off. There are so many opportunities that I would like to absorb.”

But the philosophical star says she has used the time freed up by her American disappointment to work on other interesting projects. Among them is signing up to be a “celebrity scout” in the UK’S first ever

And vowing to continue to bring glamour to BGT, she adds: “We have so much fun with the outfits. It’s the one time we can really go for it, be a little bit daring, experimental and risky in our fashion choices.

“Fashion is expression and I like to express myself through the clothing.

“It creates a vibe, energy and it makes you feel good. It’s all part and parcel of the job. I love it!”
