WE’RE ALL EXTRA CAREFUL

MICHAEL KEANE has revealed players have been told to “think twice” before going out amid fears of a second Covid lockdown hitting football.
The Everton defender caught the virus before the first lockdown and has confidence in the protocols and measures at all Premier League clubs.
But players have been given specific warnings about going to restaurants, coffee shops or even just shopping.
Keane (right) said: “There’s a spike around the country and we’ve been told to be extra careful about where we’re going, what we’re doing, think twice before going to a restauranturant or anywhere that’s busy.
“Especially in the
North West which is one of the most rife places. We’ve got to take responsibility, be careful – no-one wants to take a step back.
“The rules we’ve got at the training ground couldn’t be better. The Premier League have dealt with it brilliantly and it’s a really safe environment. It’s 99 per cent of the time you’ll catch it when you’re not at the training ground or when we’re playing games sos you must be careful awaaway from the club.” Keane is also ddesperate for the fans to return as quickly as possible - but hopes ffootball can at least iimprove the mood of ththe nation.
He added: “We all miss the fans so much and can’t wait for them to be back in. But playing the games with no fans is better than not having games at all.”
