SEAN DYCHE has ordered his Burnley flops to forget about takeover talk as they bid to secure a first win of the season.

The Clarets have won just one point from their opening five league games and find themselves stuck in the relegation zone. To make matters worse, there is the added distraction of a £200million takeover bid by Egyptian businessman

Mohamed El Kashashy.

Dyche (below) admits he wants to know what is going on behind the scenes – but is more focused on beating Chelsea at Turf Moor to get his side’s campaign up and running.

He said: “You’ve got this perfect storm of things.

Injuries, going into a new season with empty grounds, rumours about takeovers – so there are a lot of things that go into o the melting pot.

“What I’m trying to do is see clarity through all of that and affect the things I can affect.

“I believe in the group wholeheartedly and now we need to try to turn performances into wins. we have to show the strong jaw we’ve shown here many times to make sure we stay mentally and emotionally stable.”

Dyche is refusing to panic and is convinced he and his players will turn the results around.

He added: “I’ve never been naive enough to think bad runs can’t happen, particularly in the Premier League. I’ve always been a realist when it comes to that. I’ve always known at this level you can come across a bad run. When it happens in mid-season, it gets absorbed into the noise if you’re going along quite nicely.

“When it happens at the start of a season, everyone is looking at league tables and making stories about this, that and the other.”
