CCTV nails thug who attacked girl aged 15
A RAPIST has been jailed after a policeman recognised him from their schooldays on CCTV.
Adrian Cordery dragged a 15-year-old girl off the street onto a playing field, where he subjected her to a horrific night time attack with a blade.
Police scoured more than 300 hours of CCTV footage before identifying a suspect lurking before the attack.
And PC Will Conroy recognised him as Cordery, 33, who he went to school with almost 20 years ago.
Detectives went to the thug’s house and a DNA test snared him.
Cordery was jailed for 15 years and given an extended licence period of eight years after being found guilty at Bournemouth crown court. He also got

two years for use of a bladed item in the attack at Dorchester last December.
Dorset Police Det I nsp Wayne Seymour said: “Will Conroy certainly came up trumps having recognised Cordery from that footage.
“I would also have to praise the officer who identified that CCTV footage because that was some painstaking work to have that attention to detail.”
The girl, who cannot be named, said i n a victim statement: “I am anxious most of the time and I have panic attacks.
“Even if I’m with someone else I try to avoid leaving the house at night because I don’t feel safe.
“My exam grades have taken a massive hit.”
Her dad added: “She will carry t h e men t a l a n d physical scars for the rest of her life.”
