Couple found dead ‘accidentally poisoned’
POLICE in the Republic suspect a man and a woman found dead at home were accidentally poisoned.
It is thought Rolandas Jarmalvicius and Rita Martinkiene, both in their 40s, may have been dead a number of days before they were discovered.
Their remains were found at their house in Cloverhill, close to Belturbet, Co Cavan, after gardai were called to the scene at around 8pm on Sunday.
The couple are originally from Lithuania but had been living in the area for up to 10 years and had not been seen since last week.
It is believed relatives became worried when they could not contact them by phone over the weekend.
A Garda statement said: “Gardai are investigating all the circumstances surrounding the unexplained deaths.
“The scene has been preserved for a technical examination.”
Has developed a cauliflower ear? Actually, no, it’s a piece of popcorn. How it ended up there remains a mystery to the Halloween star, who discovered it when she tried to pop in an earpod, but couldn’t hear anything. “I’m definitely over this whole isolation thing,” she moaned.
