Injuries end Dancing on Ice early
ITV has brought forward the Dancing on Ice final because so many contestants have fallen foul of skating injuries or Covid.
It comes as Denise Van Outen revealed she may need surgery after breaking her shoulder in three places.
Reality TV’S Billie Shepherd and Aussie actor Jason Donovan have also pulled out after hurting themselves.
Emmerdale star Joe-warren Plant and comedian Rufus Hound withdrew after testing positive for Covid.
The channel said in a statement: “ITV have taken the decision to move the final of Dancing on Ice forward by one week.
The competition’s final will now take place on Sunday, March 14.
“Our production team and cast have delivered a fantastic show during incredibly challenging times.” The show will be back on air at 6pm tomorrow. But Denise, 46, definitely won’t be making a comeback.
The actor and presenter, who fell in the rink last month, said: “I’ve got another scan soon so I’ll find out if I need keyhole surgery. It will mend

– and ice-skating is not for me. I thought ice skating would be easier than it actually is.” Meanwhile, Corrie actress Faye Brookes and her new skating partner Matt Evers said they had just 11 hours to prepare for their first routine. They teamed up after Faye’s first partner, Hamish Gaman, also pulled out due to injury.
But Faye, 33, said she and the other remaining celebrities – rapper Lady Leshurr, ex-athlete Colin Jackson, DJ and singer Sonny Jay and footie wife Rebekah Vardy – will carry on.
She said: “We know this is the most dangerous show on telly. We’ve just got to make sure we take care of ourselves.”
