QPR FANS TUNE-OUT

QPR v Barnsley Kick-off 7pm

MARK WARBURTON reckons Championship football is becoming a really tough watch.

The QPR manager claims that too many games in a short period of time is a turn-off for fans, with yet another full midweek programme.

“We’re seeing from all teams a poor end product – poor quality football,” said Warburton (above).

“We are playing so many games and there are tired limbs. We’ve had to make sure our team are all ready.

“Supporters are going to see the quality deteriorate.”

QPR take on in-form Barnsley tonight, having lost the last three meetings between the sides.

Warburton added: “We have to meet a challenge from a team who are flying.

“They are showing a togetherness, unity and work ethic and we need to be very good on the night.”

LUTON snatched their first win at the City Ground for 38 years.

In-form Nottingham Forest dominated for long spells but were undone by Ryan Tunnicliffe’s 64th-minute goal.

This was only Forest’s third defeat in 16 league games. They made all the running and Luton keeper Simon Sluga saved well from James

Garner just before the Hatters scored.

Just like on Saturday, when they recovered from a poor first half to beat Sheffield Wednesday 3-2, Luton got themselves together after the break.

Pelly-ruddock Mpanzu’s cross was stabbed home by Tunnicliffe (celebrating above) for only their eighth away goal of the season.

Glenn Murray had a close-range first-half header saved by Sluga and also put a shot over from six yards.

Sluga also punched away a Joe Lolley drive but

Forest faded.
