I’m Jaws passing through

-

FAMILIES watched in disbelief when this 12ft shark decided to swim through a busy marina.

Paul Brown filmed it on his phone as the curious giant circled his 40ft boat before gilding towards some paddleboarders.

It then swam close to the wall of Torquay Marina, Devon, where children had gathered.

But there was nothing to worry about as it was a harmless basking shark which feeds on plankton, filtered from the water.

Paul Brown, who owns Torquay Water Sports, said: “I reckon the shark was in the harbour about 30 minutes. It was astonishing to watch and a privilege.” The sharks reach 26ft and are seasonal visitors to the South-west.

Kerry On podcast: “I’ve written a couple of songs with Gary Barlow for a Taiwanese megastar called Jeff Chang. Jeff is a very nice guy.

“He has sung them in English and they may do very well out where he is, but I think at least one of the songs could be something here.”

Jeff Chang released the first of the Barlow/rice collaborations, A Matter of Love, in January. Jeff, who is known in his home country as the Prince of Ballads, is so wealthy that he recently built his own airport in Taiwan, so he could fly his own plane there. After huge success since his debut in 1989, he came second on Chinese reality TV show I Am A Singer in 2016. He sings in three languages: Mandarin, English and Cantonese. He first performed in London in 2012.

Gary and Sir Tim have teamed up to write before. They wrote Elaine Paige’s hit It’s Only Life and once planned to write a musical.

Gary has also written songs for other artists including Westlife and Donny Osmond.
