SICK HARRY IN ‘LASAGNEGATE’ SCARE

HARRY KANE has been involved in a new ‘Lasagne-gate’ fright ahead of Tottenham’s final game of the season.

TV presenter and former White Hart Lane striker Gary Lineker tweeted: “Hearing there’s a food poisoning outbreak at Spurs.

“No, I am not joking.”

The social media post sent Spurs fans into meltdown as they feared a repeat of 2006 when Martin Jol’s squad was struck down by food poisoning, lost their final game of the season at West Ham – and Arsenal nicked the last Champions League spot.

Striker Kane (above, with manager Antonio Conte) has been feeling unwell and other players and staff have suffered from a virus.

Not ideal preparation for Spurs, who pitch up at Norwich tomorrow needing to avoid defeat to edge out Arsenal, who face Everton.

Lineker was due to interview Kane as part of an exhibition at the

Museum of London tribute to the England captain – but that was cancelled, which raised alarm bells.

But Conte insisted he thinks Kane will be fit to try to shoot down the Canaries, who are relegated already and big outsiders to win at 12-1 at Carrow Road with some bookies.

When asked whether Kane will be fit for Sunday, Conte said: “Yeah, for sure. If you remember the last game against Burnley, we had four cases with stomach problems.

“This week, I have to be honest, we had a couple of cases about this but we overcame this situation.

“Also, members of the staff for one day they were not feeling so good. I don’t know why but the last week and also this week we faced this situation.

“In this moment, honestly, this virus is the last of our problems because we are very close to reaching a big achievement for the club, for our fans, for the players.”

Conte also laughed off a repeat of ‘Lasagne-gate’ when Spurs blamed a meal in a Canary Wharf hotel.

He added: “I don’t want to know this story. It’s not a lucky story. I’m not interested to know!”
