Killer’s ex to stay in prison

THE ex-partner of Babes in the Wood killer Russell Bishop has failed to have her prison term quashed.

Jennie Johnson, 56, was jailed for six years in May 2021 after being convicted of perjury and making a false statement.

She had lied at Bishop’s original trial in 1987.

Three appeal judges dismissed Johnson’s bid.

Bishop murdered Nicola Fellows and Karen Hadaway, both nine, in Brighton in October 1986.
