Take My Home.. niall’s mansion sold

- BY SANDRA MALLON

NIALL Horan’s Mullingar home has been sold just weeks after it was put on the market, the Daily Mirror can reveal.

The former One Direction star bought the six-bedroom mansion in Mullingar, which was valued at £1.4million during the boom, for a knockdown price of £500,000 over five years ago.

Take Me Home singer Niall got it for his mother Maura, so he would have somewhere to stay any time he was home.

But in May the Gaybrook house, named Il Sogno, complete with 10 acres and a heated outdoor swimming pool, went back on the market with a price tag of €600,000 – almost £160,000 more than the star paid for it in December 2016.

And just weeks after it went on the market, the Co Westmeath home has gone “sale agreed”, according to Murphy Gubbins Auctioneers on daft.ie. It is not yet known how much the house has sold for. The auctioneers declined to return a call.

In the posting on daft.ie, Murphy Gubbins Auctioneers says: “This impressive residence provides a delightful opportunity to enjoy peaceful, private countryside living while being just 10km from Mullingar town and QUICK SALE Niall 80km to Dublin City Centre via the M4.

“The property is presented in turn key condition and provides generous living space with well-proportioned rooms throughout. It enjoys an abundance of bright and spacious reception rooms including a games room with a built-in bar and there are 6 generous bedrooms the majority of which are en-suite.”
