TRUMP RED WAVE FADES TO A RIPPLE
Republicans dealt blow in the ballots
I think if they win, I should get all the credit. If they lose, I should not be blamed at all

DONALD Trump’s hopes of regaining the Presidency were dealt a blow after a lowkey night for the Republicans in the midterms.
His supporters had predicted a “red wave” of victories over the Democrats in the nationwide election battle for Congress.
But despite Trump appearing on the campaign trail and endorsing several candidates, the wave turned to a ripple.
President Joe Biden appears set to lose fewer seats than
either Barack Obama or
Trump did at this stage in their presidencies. White House sources said there was a mood of “excitement and validation” as the red wave flopped.
The Republicans failed to flip key states that they hoped would give them overall control of Congress. They are expected to gain a majority in the House of Representatives, which decides what laws are voted on.
Some pollsters had predicted the Republicans could seize control of the US Senate, which can block or approve new laws
But the result is still too close to call, and they crucially lost one key seat in Pennsylvania – as former Oprah Winfrey Show celebrity doctor Mehmet Oz, lost to John Fetterman.
Before polls closed, Trump said: “I think if they win, I should get all the credit. If they lose, I should not be blamed at all.”
He could be challenged for the Presidential nomination by Florida Governor Ron Desantis.
Also California, Vermont and Michigan enshrined the right to abortion into their constitution.
