Bale will stand out with super powers

-

WHEN Gareth Bale scored his unbelievable header to make it 3-3 for Los Angeles FC in the MLS Final, it was not just a goal that took the game into extra time before their penalty glory.

It was a goal that would have reverberations around all those nations heading to the World Cup. It was the perfect send-off for Bale.

The way Wales reached Qatar was remarkable and if they want to have any chance, they need to have him and Aaron Ramsey firing.

Bale (above) will be ready to go because when he pulls on that Wales shirt, he regains his super powers.

There was a great deal of talk after the last Euros about whether he would retire. But that was disrespectful to Gareth.

He is a passionate Welshman, he comes alive when he is with Wales and the way he is around the group. It is like being home for him.

To cap off his career, whenever that may end, to lead Wales to a World Cup, he will put that up there with his overhead kick for Real Madrid in the Champions League Final.

It will be tough for Wales. They will take that Michael Sheen speech with them into the first match against the USA and who knows?

The underdogs, the dragon roars, we are a passionate country.
