Healy: Hit home run

DAVID HEALY is hoping there is no place like home for Linfield as bid to keep climbing the league table.

After going over a year undefeated at Windsor Park the Blues suffered two defeats in quick succession against Glentoran and Larne.

Sandwiched in between those losses was a hardfought win over Glenavon, who visit David Healy’s men again this afternoon. The Blues boss wants to make Windsor a fortress again, but he knows they will

be in for a tough test against Gary Hamilton’s men, who defeated Glentoran on Tuesday night.

“They have players at the top end of the pitch who can cause you problems and have caused us problems in the past,” Healy said.

“We should relish it though as it’s another home game.

“We have only lost those two games at Windsor in basically a year-and-a-half.

“It was frustrating because they basically came back-to-back against Glentoran and Larne, but to take the positives we have responded since then.”

Elsewhere today league leaders Larne travel to Shamrock Park to face Niall Currie’s Portadown, with the new boss still looking for his first points.

In the remaining game Newry City entertain Carrick Rangers.
