THERE ARE NO WINNERS IN THE SACK RACE Moyes wants to break three

-

WEST HAM boss David Moyes is desperate to dodge a third straight Premier League defeat ahead of the World Cup break.

Moyes is set to recall his regulars for today’s visit of Leicester after a much-changed team was knocked out of the Carabao

Cup on penalties by

Championship Blackburn.

West Ham sit 15th, below the Foxes on goal difference, after Brendan Rodgers’ men picked up four wins from their last five matches in all competitions.

“We are fully aware that we want to finish this period in good form,” said under-pressure Moyes (above). “We have had a load of good things so far this season – the European campaign is something I would pick out – but we certainly know we need to do better in the Premier League.

“We have got the same points as Leicester, but they are playing well, so we will need to be at our best.

“There has been lots of good stuff this season and stuff that hasn’t been too good. “I’d put an ‘unlucky’ tag on our season so far in some moments, but we must do better going forward.

“If you look at the Premier League for us, the World Cup break might be a good thing.”
