IT WILL be an emotional occasion when Mick Harford takes charge of Luton again today.

The Hatters legend will be caretaker boss against Rotherham in the wake of Nathan Jones’ switch to Southampton.

It is the fourth time Harford (right) has been appointed to a managerial position at Luton and first since he fought back from prostate cancer.

Harford, 63, said: “It’s an experience that’s unbelievable really. I don’t know how to put it into words. The hairs stand up on the back of your neck.

“I’m a Sunderland fan but these are the best fans in the country by a mile.”
