GB focus is back to future
GREAT BRITAIN have switched their attention onto next year’s finals after their Billie Jean King Cup near-miss.
Anne Keothavong’s side were four points from defeating Australia on Saturday and booking their place in yesterday’s final in Glasgow.
Switzerland ended up winning but Australia’s prize was a free passage through to next year’s finals.
GB were handed a home qualifier against France in April, when Keothavong will hope to call on a fit-again Emma Raducanu.
Harriet Dart (above), who capped the best season of her career by beating Australia’s Ajla Tomljanovic, said: “To be able to play great and then do it again shows me that it’s not by chance.”
