DERRY champions Glen produced a superb second half display at Celtic Park yesterday as they came from four points down at the break to win by four against Tyrone champions Errigal Ciaran.

Glen looked in trouble at half time but Emmet Bradley got to grips in midfield and with their bench making a telling impact with three points they made it through to the last four.

It was Errigal Ciaran who led 1-8 to 2-1 despite Glen grabbing a goal after only five minutes but it probably shouldn’t have stood.

Conor Convery appeared to bundle Darragh Mcanenly over the line after the ‘keeper had attempted to claim a high delivery in from Conor Glass (above).

A Darragh Canavan free got Errigal Ciaran up and running and in the 13th minute they took the lead when Ruairi Canavan played a superb ball inside to his cousin Tommy who slammed it to the net via the right hand post.

Two minutes later Glen responded when they carved open the Errigal Ciaran defence for Alex Doherty to round Mcanenly to fire to an empty net.

In fact it took Glen until the

26th minute to get their first and only point of the half via Conleth Mcguckian but Errigal Ciaran had the final say with another quality score from Mccartan.

Glen had the wind at their backs in the second half and they made it count right away with points from Jack Doherty and Conor Glass before Ethan Doherty levelled matters with a brilliantly taken 37th minute goal.

Glen substitute Stevie O’hara knocked over a brilliant brace for an advantage that they were never to lose.

Alex Doherty tagged on a point and while Glen lost Conleth Mcguckian to a black card they always looked like holding out to advance to a last four meeting with Cargin.
