HOW SAINTS DID HOOPS A BIG FAVOUR
MATT O’RILEY reckons CELTIC’S defeat at St Mirren in September was a wake-up call for the Premiership leaders.
Saturday’s 2-1 home victory over ROSS COUNTY means Ange Postecoglou’s side head into the World Cup break nine points clear at the head of the table. Midfielder O’riley
(above) said: “I am
really happy we have gone into the break winning nine in a row.
“The St Mirren loss was a wake-up call and since then we have been really ruthless in terms of our approach.”
RANGERS were held to a 1-1 draw at ST MIRREN, increasing the pressure on boss Giovanni van Bronckhorst.
He said: “I have the backing of the board. They gave me confidence but in football, you never know.”
