MPS in school meals boost
NEARLY half of MPS believe all primary pupils should receive free school meals, a Yougov poll says.
Some 46% backed it without means-testing.
The Food Foundation also had a second survey with Childwise that found “distressing evidence” of childhood food poverty.
Some 30.5% of seven to 17-year-olds shared food with pals at school as they did not have enough to eat.
One in four struggled to get enough to eat over the summer holidays.
