Ryan and pal Rob’s award for Wrexham
ACTORS Ryan Reynolds and Rob Mcelhenney have won an award in New York for buying Wrexham football club in Wales.
The duo received the Dragon Award from the Welsh Government for their contribution to spreading Welsh culture.
They were at a concert before Wales play USA in the World Cup next week.
Deadpool star Ryan, 46, declared “Cymru am byth!” as they accepted the award.
Rob, 45, said: “We accept this with full recognition these last few years have been the real honour.”
Their TV series on buying the club in February last year, Welcome to Wrexham, has won global fans.
Ryan secretly wore a Wrexham hat in the trailer for his latest Deadpool film.
