Oh no, not your babies

Rod’s tip to teen son on early fatherhood

- BY ASHLEIGH RAINBIRD @arainbird

SIR Rod Stewart has been giving his teenage son advice on growing up: Do not think you’re sexy.

The star, 77, has told Alastair, 16, to learn from his life lessons, advising: “Keep it in your trousers. No babies.”

The dad of eight said of his daughter Sarah Streeter, who was born in 1963: “I had a child when I was 17.

“My son is good looking, and I have told him, ‘Keep it in your trousers. No babies’.”

He added: “Do I think he is following my advice? No.”

However, Sir Rod enjoys parenthood, despite his well-earned life lessons going ignored.

“I am having the best time of my life,” the singer of Oh! No Not My Baby told Aussie chat show The Project.

“I’ve got eight loving children who are not embarrassed to be seen with me. In fact it’s the opposite. They’re like, ‘Dad, will you come out tonight with us?’

“My sons borrow my clothes. I didn’t do that with my dad as my dad was a plumber.

“You have to be a different dad to each one of them. The oldest is in her 50s. They are very proud of me and I am very proud of them.”

He has two sons with wife Penny Lancaster, 51, Alastair, who turns 17 this month, and Aiden, 11.

And he is dad to Kimberly, 43, Sean, 42, Ruby, 35, Renee, 30, and Liam, 28.

The rocker, who kicks off his tour in Nottingham tonight, is renting a house in Berkshire for a family of seven Ukrainians, and is paying their bills.

The Do Ya Think I’m Sexy? singer has also given two refugees jobs at his Essex home, as a gardener and a housekeeper.
