Runaway dog hands herself in at cop shop
A LOST dog was reunited with her owner when she “handed herself in” at a police station.
Border collie Rosie ran away from Steve Harper in a park when she was spooked by a firework.
Steve, 68, desperately searched for the 10-yearold rescue dog but she was nowhere to be seen.
But thankfully, Rosie was later caught on CCTV wandering through the doors at a police station, half a mile from where she was last seen in Loughborough, Leics, last Friday.
Steve’s relieved wife Julie, 62, said: “The police phoned and said she had handed herself in.
“I was so pleased and so happy she was safe. I’m so proud of her that she was clever enough to find her way to the police station.”
