Forget the matchday strips, how do latest M&S outfits ma

It’s a look that could have sparked a knot of bother in years gone by .... the official England World Cup squad pictured without ties. But the Three Lions’ chic navy jackets, cream shirts and tailored trousers by M&S scored style points on the eve of their departure to Qatar.

Mirror fashion editor Lauren Goodwin-grafton branded it “classic yet refreshing­ly modern”.

Although this year’s outfit is pitch perfect, let’s look at what the squad has worn over the years.

These grey suits were made by Marks and Spencer in collaborat­ion with bespoke tailor Timothy Everest.

Ex-england manager Fabio Capello, who is Italian, was apparently clear what specificat­ions he wanted.

They were made from wool fabric from the Alfred Brown Mill in Leeds.
