Final bell rings at C4 school drama
It’s all over for Channel 4’s Yorkshire school drama Ackley Bridge after five series.
The show, whose stars have included Jo Joyner and Sunetra Sarker, launched in 2017. Now C4 is looking for “new and innovative ideas”.
Former Eastenders fave Jo, who left after the fourth run, declared: “Over and out! Very proud to have been a part of the fantastic Ackley Bridge.
“Some incredible years, fantastic memories and wonderful friends. All good things must come to an end.”
