PENSIONS/BENEFITS
The Tory manifesto pledge to keep the triple lock is expected to be honoured.
This guarantees state pensions will increase by whichever is highest – earnings, inflation or by 2.5%.
All eyes will also be on whether benefits rise in line with inflation.
There is pressure to lift the minimum wage from £9.50 an hour for over-23s to
£10.40 an hour.
