JEREMY Hunt will unleash a new round of austerity today, as he seeks to repair the damage from Liz Truss’s mini-budget.
The Chancellor will raise taxes and cut spending to fill the £55billion financial black hole.
The Autumn Statement comes as the UK heads towards a recession, inflation is at a 41-year high and families are struggling with the cost of living.
Mr Hunt has admitted he faces “eye-watering” choices and that nobody will be spared the tax increases.
