Travellers in pub racism compo win
A PUB chain has paid undisclosed compensation after 12 pubgoers wanting to watch a Tyson Fury fight were kicked out for being Irish Travellers.
Greene King apologised for racially discriminating against the group, who had wanted to watch the selfstyled Gypsy King fight Dillian Whyte in April.
They were told to leave the Rose and Crown in Woodford, East London, before they could sit down.
The manager told them: “That’s what the company says, ‘no Travellers’.”
The group, who wish to remain anonymous, claimed unlawful direct racial discrimination and Greene King announced it had settled out of court.
