Jones to stay put as a Red
CURTIS JONES is set to sign a new five-year deal at Liverpool.
The midfielder (above) is under contract until 2025, but the Reds are preparing to extend his terms to the summer of 2027.
Jones, 21, has been with the Merseysiders since he was nine, but his season has been disrupted by fitness problems.
A stress injury to his leg, which required a 10-week lay-off, means he has been restricted to just seven appearances so far this term.
But the club are keen to continue his development.
Manager Jurgen Klopp is a big fan, and has said of the player: “There is still space for improvement, but he is an exceptional talent.”
