Migrant workers win cup
ENGLAND stars stood united with Qatar’s migrant workers after losing a penalty shoot-out.
Players including Raheem Sterling, Bukayo Saka and Harry Kane were involved in a “Workers’ Cup” kickabout with a team from Bangladesh, India and Africa.
Ashlin Rafael Jacob, 27, an electrician from India, said: “It was great to meet the players.”
Amnesty International UK welcomed the move but said: “The FA’S efforts shouldn’t end here with a photo opportunity.”
World Cup organisers have faced criticism for their treatment of foreign workers.
