Dina couldn’t flee Ukraine without pug
A REFUGEE who refused to leave war-torn Ukraine without her pet pug has finally been reunited with her family in Britain.
Mum-of-one Dina Mykhailova, 38, was urged to leave 12-year-old Zeata but instead chose to wait until the dog could be fully vaccinated to travel.
Dina endured eight months of hell in Zaporizhzhia and kept working as a university lecturer, but left before Russia stepped up its bombardments.
She travelled across five countries on a bus with Zeata on her lap before being reunited with mum Viktoriia, 61, and stepdad Bill Wyllie, 67, in Inverkip, 30 miles west of Glasgow.
Dina said: “There was no way I was going to go without Zeata, no matter what I had to endure.”
