We’re all having to tighten our belts this Christmas, and nothing says a big fat waste of money than an expensive advent calendar full of mini gifts that never get used.

I regret some of the ones

I’ve bought The Dark Lord in the past – not only expensive, but damaging to the environment.

This December I’m reusing an old material advent calendar that her auntie made for her years ago and popping unwrapped sweets or chewing gum in the pockets for her each day. If she annoys me, she may find these being swapped for Brussels sprouts!
