CHELSEA had better brace themselves for another pitch battle over their stadium plans. Owner Todd Boehly has employed consultant­s to look at various options for redevelopi­ng Stamford Bridge, but there are genuine fears they could still look at moving to nearby sites, including Earl’s Court.

Chelsea supporters ultimately hold the freehold to the pitch, so it would not be straightfo­rward.

It also centres on what developers could do in terms of Stamford Bridge expansion, but fans are fearful and thinking about what they could do to stay put.
