BARRY BANNAN claims he and his Sheffield Wednesday team-mates want to be remembered like the club’s famous players of the past.

The Scot (left) is close to former favourite Carlton Palmer and is well aware of the Owls’ success in the early 90s. “It’s good to know the history of a club and who the legends are,” said Bannan, who faces Shrewsbury at home today.

“Carlton and David Hirst are idolised by the crowd and that’s what we’re striving for as well.”
