Can’t Telme she will not be in mix

TELMESOMETHINGGIRL will be expected to make a successful start to her chasing career in the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Mares Beginners Chase in Cork tomorrow.
The seven-year-old Stowaway mare carries the colours of Kenny Alexander, made famous by her unbeaten stable-companion Honeysuckle, and might have the measure of Dinoblue and Roseys
Hollow in a fascinating contest.
Henry de Bromhead’s charge failed to complete in her last two starts last season, being brought down at the second when poised to launch her challenge in the Grade 1 Mares Hurdle won by
Maries Rock, and falling four from home in the Grade 1 mares event, won by that same rival, at Punchestown.
On her previous start, Telmesomethinggirl had finished a close third to Royal Kahala in a Grade 3 at Leopardstown and, of course, she won the Mares novice (Grade 2) at the
2021 Punchestown Festival.
Expected to take well to the challenge of jumping fences and with Darragh O’keeffe in the saddle, de Bromhead’s charge gets the vote over the Mullins runner Dinoblue.
Earlier, Itswhatunitesus and Embassy Gardens, fourth and fifth behind Facile Vega in a Grade 2 bumper at Leopardstown in February, will renew rivalry in the INH Stallion Owners Maiden Hurdle.
Although the former had the edge that day and has hurdle experience, having chased home Path D’oroux at Galway last month, preference is for the Willie Mullins-trained Embassy Gardens, a Shantou gelding with tremendous potential.
Back in calmer waters, Joseph O’brien’s Embittered, eighth to Tudor City in the Galway Hurdle and seventh to Busselton in the Kerry National on his last two starts, appeals in the Kevin Mcmanus Bookmaker Handicap Chase. Kieran Callaghan’s 7lb claim could be crucial on the top-weight.
