Masterchef John first met wife Lisa on 90s TV show... but he can’t remember it
JOHN Torode has admitted he cannot remember his first meeting with Lisa Faulkner, who he later married.
The pair were both on an episode of This Morning in 1996, him as a chef and her as a guest. They met again when Lisa was on Celebrity Masterchef in 2010 but did not start dating until 2015. Speaking about footage of their first meeting on This Morning, Lisa, 50, said: “John doesn’t remember it at all.” John, 57, added: “It was my first day cooking live on television. I was completely distracted by that. Rather than by the hottie who was on the sofa.” The couple, who wed in 2019, now host ITV’S John & Lisa’s Weekend Kitchen, which returns on December 5, with a special on Christmas Eve from 11.30m.
