THE WHITE LOTUS
SKY ATLANTIC, 9pm
The plot thickens as this dark, social satire weaves its way through an intense week at The White Lotus hotel in Sicily.
For Cameron (Theo James) and Ethan (Will Sharpe), it’s the morning after the debauched night before, with Cameron waking up next to prostitutes Lucia and Mia.
Their wives are oblivious in their rented palazzo elsewhere, having had a revealing heart-to-heart.
Tanya, played by scene-stealer Jennifer Coolidge – still Stifler’s mom to most people – has been left reeling after her husband Greg disappeared off for ‘work’.
Her troubled assistant Portia (Haley Lu Richardson) is now forced to babysit her, but salvation may arrive in the form of Quentin (Tom Hollander).
Quentin invites himself to the Beach Club with all their friends, while Albie can only look on as some bloke from Essex woos Portia.
A funny, slightly sinister comment on wealth, class, gender politics and, bubbling away underneath it all, the knowledge that several White Lotus guests will end up dead somehow.
