Andy lands biggest ‘goldfish’ in world

The Carrot, it weighs 67lb 4oz. The fish, a cross between a leather carp and a koi carp, was put in the lake in Champagne around 20 years ago and has proved hard to net. Andy, of Kidderminster, Worcs, spent 25 minutes reeling it in. He said: “I always knew The Carrot was in there but never thought I’d catch it.”

Andy returned it to the lake. It is 30lb heavier than the world’s biggest goldfish caught in Minnesota in 2019.
