JACK GREALISH was hailed as “a lovely human being” after he celebrated his 89th-minute goal with the “worm”.

The Manchester City player (above) had promised cerebral palsy sufferer Finlay that he would perform the dance he wanted in the finals if he scored.

So when the substitute tapped in England’s final goal in the 6-2 rout of Iran, he duly performed the “arm-worm” (below) to send a message of support to the 12-year-old.

“Grealish is a lovely human being,” said his boss Gareth Southgate.

“He has a sister of his own with a situation which would mean he is very aware of the power he can hold. He’s a kind person.

“We are very fortunate to have a number of players like him.”

Manchester-based Finlay wrote to Grealish to ask him about his sister’s similar illness, telling him he was his idol.

The 27-year-old arranged a meeting at which he got Finlay to choose his next celebration.

Initially, Finlay wanted Grealish to perform a whole-body “worm”.

But the pair compromised on the arm version in case the England player got injured.

Grealish has previously spoken about the close relationship he has with his own sister Hollie, 19, who lives with the condition.
