CANADA’S Kamal Miller has revealed how watching the Premier League on TV inspired his journey to the World Cup.

Interest in the game has exploded since Canada, who will co-host of the

2026 tournament, qualified for Qatar. But CF Montreal defender Miller 25, (right) says that when he was growing up there was little interest.

He said: “The national team wasn’t doing too well and there wasn’t much interest.

“I was really into my soccer and so I started watching the Premier League. “That was when I decided I wanted to be a big player for Canada and help grow the game here.”
