Hancock in rules breach on TV jungle
TORY Matt Hancock has breached the Ministerial Code by appearing on I’m a Celeb without asking, a Parliament watchdog said.
It ruled the former health secretary also broke rules by signing up for SAS Who Dares Wins.
Ex-ministers must ask the Advisory Committee on Business Appointments for advice before taking a job within three years of leaving government.
Its chair Lord Pickles has written to Cabinet Office Minister Oliver Dowden.
Mr Hancock wrote to the peer from Australia, claiming he thought he did not have to seek advice.
Lord Pickles said: “It would be disproportionate to take any further action in this case.”
