I wanna hold (a sculpture of) your hand
SIR Ringo Starr is selling 500 sculptures of his famous “peace” gesture.
The former Beatles drummer says the life-size statues of his hand symbolise his message of “positivity and light”.
Sir Ringo, 82, is selling the artworks – designed by him – online to support the social welfare-focused Lotus Foundation.
There are steel versions for $5,000 (£4,200) and bronzes for $2,000 (£1,680) via Julien’s Auctions.
He has also commissioned a 57-stone steel version of the statue for his home town, Beverly Hills in California.
The Foundation tackles substance abuse, domestic abuse and homelessness, and helps animals in need.
