Christmas THINGS TO BUY THIS
Even better than playing the triangle in the school nativity, one little girl is having a Monster Christmas!
Winner of Monster Fun comic’s competition, seven-year-old
Georgina Taylor has had her scary story about giant spiders in top hats turned into a brilliant comic strip for its bumper Christmas edition.
The little girl with big plans says: “I thought that dressing the spiders up would make people laugh.
“I loved seeing my story turned into a comic strip because the extra details make it more funny and exciting. The illustrations for the spiders really sum up my description. “When I’m older, I would really like to be an author and an illustrator.”
After a huge response to the competition, Georgina’s idea was transformed by top comic writer Ned Hartley and artist Karl Dixon.
“Some of the ideas we had put forward in this competition were incredible, but our final winning story was just so much fun,” says Ned, “I could easily see it in
Monster as soon as I read it.” A perfect stocking filler for your little monsters, The Monster Fun Christmas Special 2022 is out on December 7 in newsagents, or from rebellion.com.
