IN RAPTORS
The first version of the new Ford Ranger pick-up will be the desirable high-performance Raptor. The previous generation model looked the part but was powered by an uninspiring four-cylinder engine.
The newcomer, however, is powered by a 3.0-litre twin-turbo V6 petrol engine that produces 292PS and 491Nm of torque. The numbers Ford doesn’t give us is fuel consumption – it’s likely to be eyewatering. A 2.0-litre diesel engine will also be available.
The new Raptor also features macho styling and super rugged suspension that were hallmarks of the previous generation beefy Ford.
